Presentation “Work-based Learning: Knowledge Building and Transdisciplinary Research” was made by Professor Vitaly Kopnov (Pro-VET team member) at the "Days of German Dual Vocational Education in the Ural region" on December 11, 2020.
The programme includes discussion of the following topics:
- Dual professional training in small and large companies: similarities and differences;
- Interdepartmental interaction of organizations participating in the implementation of dual education;
- Curriculum and evaluation of practical training modules;
- Dual education in an era of changes: dual education and new professions, solving issues of the educational process in the age of digitalization;
- Students as the center of the educational process.
The report referred to the course “Best practices of Work-based learning in EU countries” developing within the Por-VET project framework and articulating the key concept of work-based learning as a knowledge building process including Transdisciplinary Research. The event was organized in collaboration with the Project “Year of Germany in Russia” together with WFS Bildungs gUG

The conference was attended by leading Russian researchers and practitioners in the field of vocational education and training (VET) and e-learning, representatives of higher and vocational education organizations working within the federal experimental sites “Digital didactics of vocational education and training”: managers, administrators, teachers, trainers, methodologists, developers of digital software products and tools.
The conference addressed a wide range of issues related to the organization of the digital education: from digital content and technologies that can be implemented in a digital educational environment to the global restructuring of the educational process based on modern digital products, e-learning platforms and augmented virtual reality.
Conference participants shared their experience in developing and using online courses, elements of the e-learning environment, discussed the problems of the regulatory framework for organizing e-learning processes and copyright for products designed for the functioning of the digital learning environment.
